Attack on Titan Chapter 129 (and maybe 130) Predictions.

With the worldwide threat of Covid-19, it was understandable that many products would be delayed for the safety of those working on them.
One of these was Attack on Titan, which had its first ever delay, with Chapter 129 being held back a month.
Had the chapter not been delayed, it would probably be out by now.
It is unfortunate but necessary to keep people safe.
And, despite the delay, we might get a treat next month because there is speculation that not only will Chapter 129 be released next month but Chapter 130 as well.
However, I must put a huge emphasis on the “might” because this is just speculation and there is no official confirmation that we will get a double chapter release.
Still, even if we only get Chapter 129 next month, it will be exciting to see how it picks up on what appears to be the final battle with the Yeagerists.
All that said, let’s get into the predictions segment.

Will Armin go Colossal?

In “Traitor” Armin was not having a good day, being shot by his own former comrade, Samuel.
If Armin wasn’t a Titan Shifter then he’d be dead for sure.
But he is, and not just any Titan Shifter but the Colossal Titan.
With Armin’s extensive injuries, he might just have to go Colossal in Chapter 129 to fully heal.
This could deal huge damage to the Yeagerists, giving the alliance the chance they need to win,
However, there are some things that suggest this will not happen.
For one, Armin is right next to the plane they need to reach Eren.
If he transforms now then he will destroy the plane, ruining all chances of the alliance reaching Eren and pretty much ending the manga on a massive anticlimactic note.
Not to mention Connie is right beside him and I highly doubt Armin would risk killing his friend by transforming so close.
That’s not to say Armin couldn’t find a way to transform without harming Connie or destroying the boat, he is one of the smartest characters, after all.
Personally, I hope we do see Armin transform at least one more time before the manga ends.
He hasn’t transformed since Chapter 106 and, while I understand why he hasn’t transformed in subsequent battles,  because he would have killed his friends if he had, I really want to see him use it effectively.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if his Colossal Titan will show up next chapter.

Will Keith show up to save the day, no longer a bystander?

Along with the Colossal Titan, Keith Shadis is another contender for appearing in the next chapter.
He looks practically identical to the mysterious person watching the alliance escape in Chapter 126, and in Chapter 125 he did tells the recruits that were now loyal to him to wait for the right moment to overthrow the Yeagerists.
Maybe he saw the potential for that right moment in the alliance and intends to help them during this battle.
The recruits following him had been recruited into the Yeagerists, so it would make sense if they were brought to the harbor to fight with them, only to secretly smuggle in Keith who appears during the alliance’s darkest moment to save the day.
Given his prior interaction with Floch, next to Jean I think he is the most likely candidate to kill him.
Maybe he will shoot Floch and sprout some cool line like, “I don’t miss”, reflecting on how Floch missed shooting him.
Or maybe he could find another way to help that doesn’t involve him attacking the Yeagerists here, who knows?
Perhaps the mysterious silhouette watching the alliance was someone else, although, given how much it looks like Keith, I find that hard to believe.

How can Titans still transform?

Surprisingly enough, some people also found it hard to believe in the build up to Chapter 129 that the other Titan Shifters could still transform.
Their reasoning for this is that, since Ymir is now free, she should have no reason to build the Titans for the Shifters when they wish to transform.
Also, Eren seems to have complete control over the Founding Titan so speculation was that he should be able to stop the other Shifters from transforming.
However, Pieck constantly being in her Titan form disproved this theory way before Chapter 129 saw Annie and Reiner transform.
Nevertheless, how they can still transform despite Eren’s powers and Ymir’s supposed freedom is a good question.
Maybe Eren does not have complete control, which appeared to be the case when Zeke’s Titans were still rampaging in Chapter 124.
There could be some kind of twist about the limits to his powers later.
However, there is another theory that I think is much more interesting.
This is the theory that it is actually Zeke building these Titans because, even though he is probably trapped within Eren’s massive Titan form, his consciousness is still in the Paths dimension.
Grisha did ask his son to stop Eren and with his plans to sterilize the Eldian race now caput, it would make sense for Zeke to find new purpose in stopping his brother from destroying the world.
I don’t know why Ymir or Eren wouldn’t try to stop him from building these Titans but maybe they have some kind of ulterior motive.
Or maybe Hajime Isayama doesn’t have an explanation for how they can transform and is just hoping we accept it, but I hope not.
I hope that it is Zeke who is helping the alliance by giving their Shifters the means to transform because it would be an interesting way to bring him back into the story.
However, he is not the only important character missing from the story right now.

Will Historia appear?

Unlikely.
I want Historia to come back as much as the next guy but, with each chapter, I have less and less faith that Isayama will bring her back before the end.
Honestly, I think the only time that Historia could show up before the reveal of Eren’s P.O.V is after the fight with the Yeagerists, so probably Chapter 130.
If she does not appear after the battle is over though, make no mistake, she will almost certainly not show up until the very end of the story, when Eren’s plan is finally shown and her role in that plan is revealed.
This would be disappointing, since she is easily in the top ten best characters of the entire story but she is being so underutilized.
I just hope that when Isayama brings her back he gives her an important role, like he is currently doing with Annie, and does not just push her to the side and kill her off, like he did with freckled Ymir.
I really don’t want Historia to just die from childbirth when she returns to the story after such a long absence.

Death Predictions.

Speaking of character deaths though, “Traitor” shook up a couple of the death predictions I made in my Chapter 128 predictions post.
In that, I speculated that either Jean and Hange would die in the next few chapters because both had massive death flags.
However, Chapter 128 changed my opinion on this because, although Hange still got a lot to do and say, it does not feel like it is building to her death just yet.
As for Jean, he only got two lines of dialogue in that chapter, and one of those was in his head.
With him being given so little to do there, I now highly doubt it is building toward his death either.
Again, like Hange, he could still die but I doubt it will be in this fight.
No, the character who I found most likely to die after Chapter 128 was none other than Connie.
He was probably the most prominent character in “Traitor”, with that title most likely referring to him having to kill his former comrades, Samuel and Daz, at the end of the chapter.
This blood on Connie’s hands will obviously leave a heavy weight on his shoulders and this makes it seem like his story is building up to something.
Ever since Chapter 126, I have wondered why Isayama included the subplot of Connie trying to feed Falco to his mother and then him deciding not to do so because he wants to make his mother proud.
This subplot felt like a giant waste of time when it was over but maybe it was Isayama building up to Connie’s death.
Maybe Floch will end up killing him in the next few chapters, only for him to be killed by either Jean or Keith.
Or, like with Jean and Hange, maybe I’m reading too much into this and Connie will be safe.
We’ll just have to wait for the next few chapters to find out.

Will there be a reveal after the Yeagerists are defeated?

In Chapter 128, Onyankopon seemed to suggest that it would take a while for the mechanics to get the plane ready so they can reach Eren.
And something tells me that this is not just Isayama being accurate to a plane’s design.
I think it is much more likely that he is planning to reveal something in the space between the Yeagerists’ defeat and the mechanics getting the plane ready.
But what could this reveal be?
Well, I did say that after the Yeagerists defeat would be the last opportunity for Historia to appear before Eren’s P.O.V is revealed.
Maybe she will show up and reveal the truth behind her pregnancy.
That said, I can’t really think of a reason why Historia would go to the harbor just to tell the alliance this.
Not to mention that she probably doesn’t know that the alliance and Yeagerists were even fighting, unless Eren told her this because he saw it in future memories that is.
Rather, I think that whatever this reveal is, if there is one, it will come from Kyomi.
Before Chapter 128, I honestly did not care for Kyomi.
I found her to be a boring character who just wanted money and to protect Mikasa for some reason.
“Traitor” changed my opinion of her because she took Floch by surprise when he tried to kill the mechanics and absolutely demolished him.
Along with her skills, I think there has to be something more to her character, which she will most likely reveal in Chapter 130.
Maybe it will be something about the Ackermans.
It could be something about the Tybers, since she had that odd interaction with Willy before his death.
Or it could even be a reveal about Eren Kruger since there is a fan theory out there that she knew him.
Whatever this reveal is, if it comes from Kyomi, I hope it continues to make her character more interesting.
Either way, I cannot wait to read Attack on Titan again.
Fingers crossed that we get a double chapter release in June but, even if we don’t, I’ll just be happy to have my favourite story back.

Attack on Titan Chapter 127 Predictions.

In my opinion, Chapter 126 is one of the weakest chapters in all of Attack on Titan.
The alliance between the Scouts and the Warriors was incredibly rushed and the entire Connie and Falco subplot was pointless.
Since the manga is set to end this year, having a bad chapter this close to the conclusion is very concerning.
Granted, everything since Chapter 110 has been incredible, if you ask me, so this bad chapter may just be a fluke.
Not only this, but maybe the chapter will be a lot better when it is adapted in the anime through its connection to the other episodes; who knows?
Still, if Chapter 127 is going to be good, I think Hajime Isayama needs to do a few things to get the story back on the right track.

What Needs to Happen.

Usually, I don’t say something needs to happen in a story for it to be good because it can be seen as unreasonable and putting unnecessary expectations on that story.
However, I believe these expectations are entirely warranted this time with the rushed nature of the alliance in the previous chapter.
In order for this alliance to work going forward, there needs to be two things.
1. There needs to be a flashback explaining how the Scouts and Warriors came together and what their plan is.
2. There needs to be tension between the two groups in the alliance.
In Chapter 126 it felt like there were a lot of missing scenes, like Annie’s discussion with Armin and Connie, everyone in this new alliance meeting up and deciding to rescue Yelena and Onyankopon, and the alliance deciding what their plan is.
The second and third missing scenes in particular are needed as flashbacks or there will be huge gaps in the story.
For one thing, we have no idea what the alliance plans to do about Eren and they can’t have decided to work together with no plan because that would be stupid.
Another thing that bothered me about Chapter 126 was the lack of tension.
For example, when Annie ran into Connie and Armin, Connie laughed at her for eating pie when he was shown to be angered by her previous betrayal in Chapter 118.
It felt very out of character for them and the rest of the characters to team up while seemingly forgetting all they have done to each other.
Now, I know the Scouts and the Warriors have to set aside their differences to stop Eren but are they really just going to forget everything?
They have been at war with one another for years for god’s sake.
I want to see Levi angry at Annie for killing his squad, I want to see Jean angry at Reiner and Annie for murdering Marco, I want to see Reiner and Annie angry at Armin for eating Bertholdt.
In order for this alliance to make any sense there needs to be tension between the group and we need an explanation for how they came together and decided their plan.
Let’s hope Isayama does not drop the ball this time and actually delivers on these things.

How Will The Alliance Reach Eren?

And now, for the speculation part of the post.
At the end of Chapter 127, Connie, Armin, Mikasa, Gabi and Falco went to collect Reiner, with Connie telling him it was time to save the world.
This definitely means they are going to take a stand against Eren but the question is how do they reach him since his Titan form is the tallest of them all?
Well, with Kyomi’s plane of course.
In Chapter 109, we see that Kyomi has a plane that uses the Iceburst stone as fuel, which she calls a “flying boat.”
She plans to use it to view the Rumbling experiments, however, now that the Rumbling has been activated to its fullest extent, this plane would be perfect for reaching Eren to try and stop it.
Sure, Kyomi could have fled in it but she said she wants to protect Mikasa so I find it reasonable to assume that she would stay to try and find her.
Mikasa will probably remember this and suggest that use Kyomi’s plane to reach Eren. So, Chapter 127 will most likely include the mad dash to reach the port and take the plane.

What Does Magath Want With Yelena?

Although I did not like Chapter 126, there were some things about it that I enjoyed like the multiple mysteries it set up.
One of these mysteries is why Magath requested that Yelena be rescued from the Yeagerists.
There could be a number of explanations for this, ranging from wanting to punish her for the crimes she committed against his country to thinking she will have some information about Zeke.
Although, maybe these explanations seem a little too simple.
In all honesty, this is one mystery that I actually have no idea where it is going.
But I am interested to see play out.
There is one mystery that I am positive I know the answer to, though.

Who is The Mysterious Man in The Window?

The second big mystery of Chapter 126 is who the man in the window who watched Armin, Annie, Mikasa and the others escape was.
There seem to be three characters that the fandom are predicting it will be, Historia, Zeke or Keith.
While it would be great for it to be Historia, I think we can rule her out pretty quickly.
The figure in the window does not look like a woman, let alone a pregnant one.
That leaves Zeke and Keith and I have to go with Keith here.
The man just doesn’t look like Zeke at all.
He does, however, look a lot like Keith, being bald, having the same facial structure as him, and even appearing to have the same shirt he was wearing in Chapter 125.
Therefore, I am certain that the figure in the window who is watching the alliance escape is Keith Shadis.
So, if it is him, then what role does he have to play in the story going forward?
Well, what with his identity being kept a secret at this stage, I can firmly say that it will undoubtedly be important and I, for one, am looking forward to it.
Shadis has really grown on me as a character in this final arc with his progression from bystander to active participant.
I am sure he will lead the recruits that now follow him in a battle against the Yeagerists for the fate of the island.
Speaking of…

What Will Floch and The Yeagerists do?

In one of the few good scenes of Chapter 126, the alliance rescued Jean, Yelena and Onyankopon from the clutches of the Yeagerists.
They made it appear like the three of them had been eaten but the final panel of the scene suggests that Floch may be onto them.
And if he realizes that Jean and the rest of the 104th, along with Levi and Hange, have teamed up with the Warriors to stop Eren then it is certain that he will lead the Yeagerists in an effort to stop them.
This is why I think we may be getting a few big character deaths pretty soon.
Eren is doing the Rumbling to save his friends so I don’t see him killing them but Floch definitely would.
However, like I said earlier, I feel that Shadis may have a central role in their downfall.
But, as for Floch, I think it would be much more fitting for Jean to be the one to end up killing him because they are two sides of the same coin.

Where are Zeke and Historia?

It seems like every chapter we are wondering when a missing character will show up.
Thankfully, recent chapters have brought back Annie, Levi and Hange but characters like Zeke and Historia are still missing.
Of the two, Zeke’s role in the story is a lot more obvious, I think.
He will most likely show up somewhere in the final battle in a last ditch effort to stop Eren as his father begged him to do and initiate his Euthanasia Plan.
It is through him and Yeagerists fighting the alliance for their own ends that we will see most of the deaths.
We will also probably get a final fight between Zeke and Levi, with Connie also taking part.
Zeke will most likely die, along with Levi, paralleling one of the many battles of Ragnarok in Norse Mythology.
However, while I think I have a good grasp on what Zeke’s role will be, I am currently struggling to think of something for Historia.
I was so sure that she would show up in Chapter 126 but she just didn’t.
Honestly, Historia is in the story so little now that she might as well be the new Annie.
Yet, Isayama keeps bringing her up so she has to be important somehow.
Sadly, I don’t think we can expect to see Historia until Eren’s P.O.V is finally revealed, which should be around the end of the story, where we will learn who the father of her child really is and what role she has in Eren’s plan.
I just hope she can stand out when she does return with how little story there is left.

What is Eren’s Real Plan?

Many people in the Attack on Titan fandom seem to think that we will get either a genocide ending or a Code Geass ending.
Either Eren destroys the world or makes them come together, you know the drill.
However, I just don’t see the Code Geass ending as feasible and the genocide ending seems to have become less and less likely as time goes on.
So what is Eren’s true plan?
Well, I think he wants to destroy Paradis to save his friends.
I think him initiating the Rumbling is to lure his friends away from Paradis so when the world ultimately strikes and destroys it, they will be safe.
I know it sounds far fetched but I posted this theory in more detail on Reddit.
I don’t have enough time to discuss it here but I will provide the link to that post where I explain it in more detail.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ShingekiNoKyojin/comments/f73xnq/manga_spoilers_possible_ending_theory/.
Whatever Eren’s true plan is though, I hope that it can create an ending that will satisfy us readers.
More importantly, right now though, let’s hope that Chapter 127 will be miles better than the not so good Chapter 126.

Attack on Titan Chapter 126 Predictions.

Chapter 125 of Attack on Titan set up a lot of plot points to be resolved before the story goes into the final battle.
I am now sure that we are in the prelude to the big finale, a calm before the storm if you will.
Although, given that the Rumbling is currently happening, I feel like calling the current situation calm would be the understatement of the century.
In any case, if my belief that the manga will end at Chapter 134 is correct, then the next few chapters will spend most of their time wrapping up certain plot points and character arcs.
We will definitely see this with whatever way the plot point that my first question is about concludes.

How will Jean and Mikasa take down Floch?

“Sunset” proved my prediction that Floch arrested all of the volunteers to stop them from rising up in the aftermath of the Rumbling to be correct.
Thankfully, though, my theory that he would try to execute them all turned out to be wrong.
Still, Floch needs to be taken down and it looks like Jean and Mikasa are being set up to do that.
Jean has been really conflicted since the Rumbling started, trying to convince himself that the fighting is over, while being disturbed by the injustice Floch commits against the volunteers.
As for Mikasa, she has also been struggling a lot with what to do now that the Rumbling has happened and that she no longer understands Eren anymore.
However, both look set to emerge from their states of indecision in an effort to take Floch down.
Jean has had a lot of conflict with Floch previously so it would make sense for him to be involved and, as for Mikasa, Armin told her to think for herself and stopping Floch is the perfect scenario for her to do that.
I just hope that neither of them die in the attempt.
I think Mikasa is safe but Jean defeating Floch, who represents what he could have become, could be the conclusion of his character arc, resulting in his death.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope this doesn’t happen.

Will Hange and Levi team up with Pieck and Magath?

Levi fans everywhere rejoiced when humanity’s strongest soldier himself was revealed to be alive as the cliffhanger of Chapter 125.
Having saved his life, Hange has dragged his unconscious body on a horse to the outskirts of Shiganshina where they meet Pieck and Magath who Hange engages in conversation with.
It will be very interesting to see how these four characters interact because they are meeting for the first time but the outcome of this meeting is anyone’s guess.
Some has suggested that Hange could find a way to feed Pieck to Levi but I am against this for multiple reasons.
For one thing, we don’t even know if Ackermans can become Titans.
Not only this but I would rather see Levi struggle with his injures than become a Titan Shifter, and Pieck being fed to him really does not tie into her arc.
The only Titan Shifter I can see being fed to Levi would be Zeke because it would resolve their conflict but we don’t have any indication of where Zeke is yet.
Therefore, I think it is more likely that Hange will make an alliance with Pieck and Magath in an attempt to stop the Rumbling.
However, I just want to say that this does not mean a Code Geass ending.
Honestly, I have been against that being the ending for Attack on Titan ever since it was first theorized.
But I am not against the Scouts and Warriors teaming up for an attempt to stop Eren.
I just hope that it does not end with it being revealed that Eren’s plan was to become an enemy to unite the world because that would just not work in this story’s context.
In any case, I am excited to see how the four characters will interact in Chapter 126.

Does Falco have Ymir’s memories?

Another big plot point that continued in Chapter 125, is Connie taking Falco to feed him to his mother so she can be revived.
As I have said in previous predictions posts, I do not believe that Connie will succeed in feeding Falco to Mrs Springer and that Armin and Gabi will most likely find a way to talk him out of it.
However, what I do believe is that Falco will see Ymir’s memories in Chapter 126.
Isayama seemed to be hinting that Falco had them when he thought that Connie looked familiar.
Some have speculated that Falco just recognized Connie from the airship when Sasha was killed but I think him having Ymir’s memories is more likely because of the plot significance it could have.
I think right as the two reach Connie’s village and Falco sees Mrs Springer, he will experience one of Ymir’s memories.
And not just any memory, but the one from Utgard Castle where Ymir laughed at Connie for thinking that his mother was a Titan to distract him from the painful truth.
This would both make Falco realise he is now a Titan Shifter because he is seeing someone’s memories, and also make him realise that Connie plans to feed him to his Titanized mother.
However, once Falco realizes he inadvertently killed his brother, Colt, when he transformed, I actually see him deciding to allow Connie to kill him out of guilt.
But, like I said, I think Connie will have second thoughts or be stopped by Armin and Gabi because I don’t see the point in Falco dying here.
Besides, if Falco does experience Ymir’s memories, it sets him up for another big plot point; meeting Historia who I believe is in Ragako.

Why I think Historia will be in Ragako.

With Attack on Titan supposedly in its last prelude before the final battle, I think this would be the perfect time to reintroduce Historia to the plot.
And what better way to do that than for her to be in hiding at Ragako village?
Now, you might be wondering why she would be hiding out there because of the Titan but that is why I think she probably is there.
No one in their right mind would put the queen near a dangerous Titan and it is this thought that would keep people from suspecting Ragako.
However, since the Titan cannot move, it poses as no threat to Historia, so the village serves as both a safe place for Historia to hide and a place that no one would expect her to be.
Also, Historia being in Ragako village would be perfect for the plot because she could interact with Falco, who might have Ymir’s memories.
This could give Historia closure and also motivate her to name her child after Ymir.
And if her child really will be the reincarnation of Ymir Fritz, like I think, then this moment will have huge plot significance.
Speaking of the child, Historia showing up here would also be a good point for Isayama to reveal exactly what the hell is going on with her baby and how Eren is involved.
We know from the memory flash in Chapter 120 that he met with Historia and I really hope we get to see that interaction soon.

Is Eren really planning to destroy the world?

After reading Chapter 122, I was certain that Eren’s plan is to destroy the world with the Rumbling.
However, each following chapter has raised my doubts about this and I am now wondering if Eren has some alternate plan that only he knows about.
One of the biggest questions about Eren’s supposed plan is that, if he is trying to destroy the world, why would he announce this to all Eldians, including the ones in Marley and other countries in the world?
Wouldn’t this just allow these Eldians to warn their captors of the oncoming apocalypse and give them time to prepare?
Unless, of course, Eren wanted them to hear this message so they would act.
In Chapter 125, Annie’s father was one of the many Eldians in Liberio who tried to convince a group of Marleyan guards that the Rumbling had been activated.
However, because of the racist beliefs of the Marleyans, Mr Leonhart and the other Eldians were placed under arrest, causing Mr Leonhart to fight back, supposedly starting an uprising in the internment zone.
Perhaps this is also happening in other internment zones around the world, as the Eldians panic about the Rumbling and their captors not listening to them.
If this is what is happening then Eren may have sent out his warning to motivate the Eldians to fight against their oppressors.
Maybe this was so there would be too much chaos for the world to stop the Rumbling or maybe Eren wants to help the Eldians by doing this, in which case his plan is something other than destroying the world.
Again, I hope this is not Eren pulling a Lelouch, I would much rather his plan be something more original and actually make sense in the context of Attack on Titan’s world.

An idea for a tragic ending.

Back in Chapter 110, when Darius Zachary was assassinated, a crowd of Eldians were shown chanting, “devote your hearts!”
And so a phrase that was once meant to inspire hope for humanity’s survival was turned into a fanatical slogan.
However, until the most recent chapter, this was not brought up again so I thought Isayama may have forgotten about it.
Then, in “Sunset”, we saw these fanatics again, cheering on Eren, despite him killing some of their own people by unleashing the Rumbling.
But, instead of everyone present being fully on board, many citizens who had lost loved ones were disgusted by Eren’s actions and argued with those in support of him, almost starting a riot.
There were other signs of division in Chapter 125, like when Keith told the recruits to act like they supported the Yeagerists but to never lose sight of themselves.
All of this points towards a possible way for the story to end that has tragic implications.
My new theory is that, whether or not the Rumbling actually destroys most of the world, the cycle of hatred against the Eldians will end.
However, this does not mean the cycle of hatred ends, it is merely redirected to something else.
Instead of it being Eldians against the rest of the world, by the end of the story it will be those who support what Eren did vs those who don’t.
So, while the Eldians are now free from racial discrimination, ideological discrimination grips the world and threatens to tear it apart once more.
This could be the tragic ending for Attack on Titan.
Eren frees all of his people from persecution, only to inadvertently start a new cycle of hatred and persecution based off people’s opinions and beliefs.
This would create a bittersweet finale that speaks to our current world on a thematic level as cycles of hatred regarding things like race and politics are constantly regurgitated.
And, even if this is not where the obvious ideological differences people in the series are having leads, it will be interesting to see where this plot point goes.

Attack on Titan Chapter 125 Predictions.

Chapter 124 of Attack on Titan, “Thaw”, had a lot of great twists and turns that caused me to reconsider how long the manga has left.
I originally thought that the series would finish at Chapter 130 but, after reading “Thaw”, I now believe that 134, or even 138, is a more appropriate finishing point, given how many plot points just emerged.
And, with all these new storylines, there comes new theories that I would like to get into.
So, let’s start with the biggest question generated by Chapter 124,

Now That Annie Is Free, What Will She Do?

By far the biggest twist of “Thaw” was the long, long, long, long lllooonnngg awaited return of Annie Leonhart.
She was gone for so long that many, including myself, feared that she may never return.
In all honesty, Annie is a character that I have conflicted feelings about.
I do like her character but nowhere near to the extent of others, and I wanted her to come back more so Hajime Isayama could tie up that plot point rather than for her character.
Now that she is free, though, it will be interesting to see what role she has to play in the final battle.
There is no doubt that she will side against Eren because her father is in Marley but how she will be able to help is a mystery.
Some have predicted that Annie’s Female Titan may be able to draw in the Wall Titans with her scream but this seems a bit of a stretch.
As for how she will get to the battlefield, I am sure Hitch will be involved in that since she is the one guarding her.
I can just imagine their conversation, with Hitch explaining to Annie, in her usual sassy fashion, everything that has happened over the four years that she has been asleep.
Another theory I have is that Annie could run into Levi and Hange, which is how they could return to the story.
The reason I think this is because it could cause a lot of conflict because Annie murdered Levi’s entire squad in the Female Titan Arc.
The only person Levi hates more than her is Zeke so it would be interesting to see the Levi and Annie fight again, that is if Levi can with the state he is currently in.
One thing I certainly hope Isayama doesn’t do is sweep Annie’s crimes under the rug.
Out of her, Reiner and Bertholdt, she is the one whose thoughts on killing the Scouts we have seen the least so I want to see how this affected her.
It will also be interesting to see her interact with Armin, since he now has Bertholdt’s memories and an obvious crush on her.
The thing I am positive about is that the next chapter will be primarily centered around Annie.
Some have speculated it will be a flashback chapter to her past but I doubt this because we already know most of her backstory.
We may get a brief flashback but I think Chapter 125 will focus mostly on Annie in the present.
And it will certainly be intriguing to see what role she has to play in trying to stop Eren’s Rumbling.

What Will Happen With Falco And Connie?

Another unexpected development in Chapter 124 was Connie kidnapping Falco to feed him to his Titan mother so she can turn back into a human.
Opinions on Connie seem to be mixed after him doing this but I do understand his motivations.
Connie has lost almost everyone he cares about and, now that he thinks the fighting is about to end, he wants to save his mum, no matter the cost.
There are many theories about what could happen with this plot point and one of the most prominent of those is that Connie will run into Hange who will feed Falco to Levi instead.
However, this is a theory that I am very much against for three reasons.
First of all, it makes Porco’s sacrifice pointless.
Second of all, I don’t want Levi to be more overpowered than he already is (plus I don’t think Ackermans can turn into Titans).
And, third of all, I don’t see Falco dying here because it doesn’t tie into his arc.
I want to see Falco struggle with the guilt of accidentally killing his brother and try to use the powers of his recently acquired Jaw Titan in this dangerous situation.
But if Falco is not going to die then what was the point of Connie taking him?
Some are saying Connie will be eaten by his own mother but, again, I don’t see this happening because what would the point be in him, as an important character, dying when none of his friends are there to react to it?
There is the possibility that Connie taking Falco could lead to some characters returning to the story but, rather than Hange and Levi, I think this would be the perfect opportunity to bring Historia back.
I have been rooting for Historia to come into contact with the holder of the Jaw Titan to experience Ymir’s memories for a long time and if she is near Ragako, then she could very well interfere with Connie’s plan and touch Falco, gaining some of these memories.
Although, I have no idea why Historia would even be near Ragako so I may be wrong about this.
I just hope that Connie does not end up succeeding in feeding Falco to his mother or Levi because I feel this would ruin Falco’s arc.

What’s With the Parallels Between Gabi and Eren?

In “Thaw” there was a scene of Gabi tying up her in front of a mirror that was eerily similar to a scene from Chapter 106 where Eren did the same thing.
This is just one of many parallels between Eren and Gabi and has caused many to wonder if Gabi will go on to kill Eren and gain his Titan powers, thus fulfilling the role of Helos.
Now, while I am a Gabi defender, I do not want this to happen.
If Eren is going to be killed by someone, it would make a lot more sense for it to be Mikasa, Armin or Reiner that does the deed because they are the characters that have the biggest connection to him.
Along with this, Gabi already nearly killed Eren in Chapter 119 so it would seem repetitive.
Still, the parallels have to be there for a reason so it will be interesting to see what that reason is.
But, if Gabi does kill Eren, then the fandom will absolutely explode.
She is so hated that many people have said they will hate the series if this happens.
Personally, I won’t hate it if Gabi does kill Eren but I would rather it be another character.

Where Are Zeke, Pieck and Magath?

The characters in Shiganshina that we did not see in Chapter 124 were Zeke, Pieck and Magath, causing many to wonder where they are.
Well, I think it is safe to say that the three of them are together, with Pieck and Magath likely having captured Zeke.
Magath was on top of the wall with Pieck in Chapter 122 but she probably grabbed him so that would make him safe.
The next time we see Pieck is in Chapter 123 when she hears Eren’s proclamation in the Path dimension, and Zeke appears to be next to her so it would be logical for her to grab him.
I don’t imagine him putting up much of a fight after his plan of sterilizing all Eldians was destroyed by Eren.
However, I doubt Zeke will be out of the fight for long because in Chapter 124 it seems that Eren cannot control the Titans that he transformed.
This makes sense because of Zeke’s royal blood and could make him the center piece in a plan to defeat Eren.
Even though I hope we don’t get a Code Geass ending, I can see the Scouts teaming up with the Warriors for this plan.
I would actually be excited about that because we would see many of these characters talking for the first time.
It would be fascinating to see Armin’s intellect go up against Pieck’s.
Another theory is Zeke’s consciousness being trapped in the Path dimension but I am not sure what Zeke could do from there.
In any case, despite believing these three characters are alive, I am unsure if they will show up next chapter because I expect to be mainly centered around Annie’s return.

Why Is Floch Arresting the Volunteers?

“So you’re alive” is what Jean said when he saw Floch in Chapter 124, voicing the frustration of many fans.
Immediately after being revealed to have survived, Floch continued with making the readers hate him by pointing a gun at a depressed Yelena’s head and informing her that she and the rest of the volunteers are under arrest.
The reason for this is probably because of Yelena’s participation in Zeke’s euthanasia plan.
Floch probably knew Eren planned to initiate a full scale Rumbling and is acting on his orders by arresting them in the aftermath.
Although, there may be a more sinister reason Floch is arresting the volunteers.
This is that he may plan to execute all of them so that the only people left after Eren’s Rumbling will be Eldians.
Many of these Volunteers would be enraged if their country is destroyed, and would want to take vengeance, so Floch could plan to execute them before any such acts took place.
But would Eren allow this?
Well, given how he is about to destroy the world and kill billions of people, I don’t think he would hesitate to order this if it kept his friends safe.
This is merely speculative, though.
Also, I think Floch will meet some firm resistance from the Scouts.
We could see Keith get involved in this, since he is getting more well deserved screen time lately.
But it is Jean who I am most excited to see face off against Floch.
To me, Floch is a representation of what Jean could have become had he never joined the Scouts so he would make a great endgame fight for him.
Whether this or any of the other theories I mentioned turn out to be true, though, will have to be seen in Chapter 125.
There are some rumors that it will release around the end of December but it is probably best not to get your hopes up in case the chapter drops at the regular time.

Attack on Titan Chapter 124 Predictions.

Eren’s motivations and goal for unleashing the Rumbling was finally revealed in Chapter 123 of Attack on Titan, with him announcing his intention to use the Wall Titans to eliminate all life outside the walls.
The Rumbling is definitely going to be the final battle of the story so the question is how will it go?
Will Eren succeed in his plot to destroy the world or does he have other intentions as one fan theory suggests?
In my first prediction for this post I will be tackling that theory, which is,

Will Eren Pull a Lelouch?

Lelouch is a character from the anime Code Geass, and in order to state how Eren’s plan might be similar to Lelouch’s I need to spoil the ending for that anime.
So, if you have not seen Code Geass just move on to the next question I pose.
At the end of Code Geass, Lelouch ends the war consuming his world by becoming the most hated dictator in that world.
He then has his best friend assassinate him so everyone can come together and establish world peace.
And now, many people are theorizing that Eren intends to do the same, propping himself up as the enemy of the world so his friends can kill him, showing the world that Eldians are not so bad and establishing peace between the two groups.
But do I think this will happen?
No, I don’t.
More than that, I am completely opposed to this happening because it would both rip off Code Geass’ ending and also make no sense given what has been established.
In Chapter 123 we get a flashback to when Eren and his friends first visited Marley and during their stay they witnessed a group of Marleyans about to kill an immigrant child because they suspected him of being an Eldian.
The hatred for Eldians is so strong in the world that even if an Eldian, like Armin, succeeded in stopping Eren it would change nothing.
If anything, Eren almost destroying the world would serve as proof to them that the Eldians need to be exterminated.
Eren would have to be incredibly stupid to believe this plan would work.
So, no, I don’t believe Eren has some kind of ulterior motive.
I fully believe he intends to destroy the world, which leads me into my next question.

Will Eren Succeed in Destroying the World?

Whether Eren succeeds in his plan will determine the entire ending of the manga.
Either he succeeds in wiping out all, or at least most, of life on earth and we get a bittersweet ending with Paradis being safe but the entire world is destroyed, or he fails and we get a tragic ending where the world wipes out Paradis.
Personally, I think the former is more likely because we know Eren has seen a part of his future because of the Attack Titan.
However, a lot of people think his plan to use the Rumbling is flawed because of one key thing, the ocean.
Many seem to think that the Colossal Titans will sink into the ocean, where they will be without sunlight and unable to move.
Contradicting this is the Attack on Titan Anthology where, in one story, Colossal Titans are seen coming out of the ocean.
And even if the Colossal Titans will sink, I am sure Eren will find a way around it.
For example, Eren could use the War Hammer Titan abilities, amplified by the Founding Titans powers, to make a bridge for the Titans to cross the ocean.
The one thing that I am at a loss to explain, though, is the airships.
Marley has been shown to have quite a number of these and they could easily pack survivors in them and fly above the Wall Titans’ reach.
So, maybe Eren will not succeed in destroying all of life beyond the walls, just most of it.
Although, one interesting thing to factor in on the idea of Eren being stopped is the possibility of the Scouts and the Warriors teaming up.
They could temporarily put aside their differences to stop Eren, or could just be working together without realizing it as both sides attempt to stop him.
Either way, I am sure that Kyomi’s sea plane and the remaining airships that Marley have left for evacuation will come into play here.
Still, with the extent of Eren’s power, I don’t think anything short of a nuke can stop him but I doubt any nation is at that technological stage yet.

Will Annie, Levi, Hange, or Historia Show Up?

What prediction post for an Attack on Titan chapter would be complete without wondering when the hell Annie, Levi, Hange and Historia are going to show up?
We have been speculating for so long about when these characters will return but they still have yet to do so.
And, with so little time remaining in the story, if these characters are going to play a major role then they need to return soon.
Starting with Historia, I think I have a clear idea of what role she will play in the ending.
Since I think she will give birth to the reincarnation of Ymir Fritz, I don’t think we will see her until the epilogue, although we will probably get a flashback to Eren’s conversation with her, before he left for Marley, and see if he is the father of her child or not.
Then there is Levi and Hange who I am both pretty unsure of.
Levi is badly injured so it seems unlikely he will return until the end but both he and Hange have ongoing storylines so I figure they have to show up somehow.
And then there is Annie.
Oh, Annie, Annie, Annie.
Fans have been theorizing about when she will come back for years and those theories have only intensified with her being brought up so often in these last two arcs.
However, there is still no sign of her.
Personally, it has got to the stage that I no longer care about Annie.
However, I still want her to return so it at least seems like Isayama had an idea of what he was trying to do with her character.
Many have speculated that she will have heard Eren’s message from Chapter 123 and this will cause her to wake up and, honestly, I think this is her last chance.
If she does not return in the next two chapters then I will be convinced that she will not return until the epilogue of the story.
If this happens then she will be a wasted character would should have died in The Female Titan Arc instead of just being locked away, never to return to the story.
Fingers crossed that Isayama will find an interesting way to bring Annie back that somehow gives her an interesting role with so little time left in the manga.

Attack on Titan Chapter 123 Predictions.

Attack on Titan Chapter 122 had the best cliffhanger of the entire series so far.
With the Rumbling having been initiated, the endgame of the story has truly begun.
I can only see the series go on for at least eight more chapters before it ends but, before that, there is going to plenty of bloodshed and plenty of reveals.
So, now I will predict what will happen.
Crazy theories incoming!

Now that Eren has activated the Rumbling how will he use it?

Eren’s goal has been one of the biggest mysteries of Attack on Titan‘s final arc.
It was clear right from the moment Zeke’s euthanasia plan was revealed that Eren would not go along with it because he is all about freedom.
So, now that Eren has successfully activated the Rumbling by appealing to Ymir, the question is how will he free his people with it?
The most obvious, and most sinister, theory is that he will use it to devastate the rest of the world, leaving only those on Paradis alive to begin anew.
This theory seems particularly likely considering Eren’s comments in Chapter 90.
Another big sign that he will do this is his statement that he might end up destroying the world in Chapter 100.
And, given that Chapter 121 revealed Eren knows what is going to happen, him saying this seems to support that he will use the Rumbling to crush Marley and the other nations.
However, one point I have heard that contradicts this idea is the fact the all of the Wall Titans are facing inwards, towards Paradis, rather than outwards.
Some have speculated that Karl Fritz built in a safety precaution where anyone who activates the Rumbling will cause the Wall Titans to crush Paradis instead of the world.
But, given that Eren has apparently been given complete control of the Founding Titan, he would easily be able to stop this from happening.
Another thing to consider, though, is that we do not know if this is a full scale Rumbling yet.
We have only seen the Wall Titans in Shiganshina being freed, we have yet to see the millions of other ones being released.
Still, I think Eren initiating a complete Rumbling to destroy the world is the most likely outcome of him gaining control of the Founding Titan.

Will Eren have Ymir’s Founding Titan form?

When Chapter 122 ends, Eren is in the process of transforming into his Titan form and is currently at the skeleton stage of that transformation.
Because of this, we do not know what Eren will look like when his Titan is fully formed.
From the perspective we get, he looks pretty big, which makes me wonder if he could have obtained Ymir’s Titan form when she gave him control of the Founding Titan.
One thing that supports this idea is that when Eren initiates the Rumbling, the source of all living matter, which gave Ymir her powers, is the thing that attaches Eren’s head back to his body, showing that Ymir may have passed it on to him.
Eren now having the Founding Titan power would make him the size of the Colossal Titan, bringing his destructive capabilities up another level.
It could also add a lot to the final battle as well, with a potential fight between Armin’s Colossal Titan and Eren’s new Titan form.
Although, I should say that when we see Eren at the end of Chapter 122 it is from Gabi’s point of view so he may just look bigger than he actually is.
Personally, though, I think the stakes would be risen by a considerable margin if Eren took on Ymir’s Founding Titan form.

How will the other characters react to the Rumbling?

One thing I am certain of is that Chapter 123 will be absolute chaos.
The Rumbling will create a lot of confusion among the surviving characters as they struggle to deal with this new colossal threat (pun intended).
A theory I have had for a few chapters now is that Eren activating the Rumbling to destroy the world will motivate those of Paradis island to team up with the Marleyeans and Warriors to stop him.
This could be a great way to end the cycle of hatred between the two groups as they find a common enemy to defeat in Eren.
I can just picture Armin and Jean negotiating with Magath and Pieck for a temporary alliance to deal with the threat of the Rumbling.
And, if Eren eventually makes it so that Eldians can no longer turn into Titans, like I think he will, then this could turn this temporary peace into something more long term.
Although, given that this idea of peace is too happy for Attack on Titan‘s dark tone, I expect that in order to compensate for such a happy ending, Isayama would have Eren succeed in his plan to destroy the world first.
As for specific characters, It is almost certain that Yelena and the rest of Zeke’s followers will try to stop Eren as well because they want to save the world not destroy it.
Honestly, the only characters who will probably be on Eren’s side during the Rumbling is Floch and the other Yeagerists.
Sure, Mikasa and Armin may be conflicted fighting against Eren but I still believe they will do so in the end.
Speaking of Mikasa, I think we will get a reveal of what Eren was thinking when he said he hated her soon, which will most likely be because he wanted to free her from being enslaved to him as an Ackerman.
Another character that I think will contribute to Mikasa’s arc is Louise, who may have taken her scarf when Mikasa left it behind and whose death may motivate Mikasa to take some drastic measures.
Then there is Armin, who will have to go Colossal Titan now, which could lead to some great fight moments.
Even if Eren does not gain Ymir’s Founding Titan form, Armin will still have a fight on his hands as he will have the Wall Titans to face.
It would be amazing to see some Colossal Titan vs Colossal Titan combat.

Death Predictions.

This is a very tricky thing to consider because it is hard to predict which character will live and die at this stage.
Honestly, I see every single one of them as capable of biting the dust before the story ends.
Does that mean I think all of the characters will die?
No, but we are certainly in for a high body count.
The only characters I am pretty sure will die before the story ends are Zeke, Yelena and Floch.
I just honestly do not see them surviving to the end of the story.
I see more than just them dying but they are the only ones I am currently sure will not make it.
As for the other characters, it is all 50/50 for me.
Personally, though, I just hope that, no matter which characters die, they will do so with a fitting conclusion to their arc.

Is Kyomi the one saying, “see you later Eren” in the first chapter?

We are going to end this prediction post with a pretty wild theory.
Before I get into it, though, I have to say this theory is not mine.
I heard it from the YouTube channel Manga Horse in his video, “The Mysterious Hidden Memory.”
In the video, Manga Horse states his belief that the person who says “see you later Eren” in the very first chapter of Attack on Titan is actually not Mikasa but a younger version of Kyomi.
As evidence he points out that this scene was not included in the anime, possibly so audiences would not notice the change in Mikasa’s voice actor, and that Kyomi herself wears a scarf.
But if this is a young Kyomi how can she be talking to Eren who would not have even been born yet?
Well, that is because she is actually talking to Eren Kruger, Eren Jaeger’s namesake and previous Attack Titan holder.
Manga Horse provides more evidence but it is too much detail to get into here so I will include the link to his video and suggest you watch it because it is a really good theory video;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1Hi2wcQ0ME&t=818s.
Now, if Manga Horse’s theory is correct, then Kyomi knowing Kruger could have big ramifications for the story as the “see you later” moment is in the very first chapter, which sets it up as important.
Not only this, but when you factor in the hints that Kruger knew Tom Xaver as well it seems to point that he would know Kyomi as well.
So, Kruger, Kyomi and Xaver could have been involved in some super secret conspiracy the entire time!
Or maybe I just need to take off my tin foil hat and reconsider my life.
In any case, I am excited to see what the “see you later” moment could really mean and hope it will be explained later.
And, whether or not any of my predictions about Attack on Titan Chapter 123 turn out to be correct or not, I know that the chapter will be just as insane as the previous ones, if not more so.

Attack on Titan Chapter 120 Predictions.

Chapter 119 of Attack on Titan was one of the manga’s most shocking with an incredible cliffhanger that left my jaw on the floor.
I never expected Eren to get his head blown off, and the impact this has on the series will be massive, even though I am pretty sure that Eren will survive.
There are a lot of directions Chapter 120 could go but, no matter what happens, I am sure it will be a big chapter because of Hajime Isayama’s apparent rule of five.
Ever since Chapter 100 something big has happened every five chapters.
In Chapter 100 there was Eren’s declaration of war, in Chapter 105 Sasha died, in Chapter 110 Darius Zachary died, and in Chapter 115 Zeke died but was resurrected by a mysterious girl in the Path dimension.
So, it is safe to assume that something huge will happen Chapter 120, especially when considering the massive events of Chapter 119.
Here are my predictions for what will happen.

How will Eren survive?

I am 99% sure that Eren will survive having his head blown off by Gabi.
We have seen Titans survive crazier things, like when Zeke was literally brought back from the dead.
Therefore it is highly likely that Eren will make it.
This opinion is clearly shared by a lot of the fandom because there are multiple theories about how Eren will live.
One of the most prevalent theories is that Eren has already touched Zeke and is using the Founding Titan to alter people’s memories, making them believe he got decapitated when, in reality, he did not.
This theory comes from the multiple inconsistencies in Chapter 119.
However, after looking these over, I have found that most of these are explainable, and even the ones that are not are probably there because Isayama drew 21 pages in a few days because he was so busy.
On top of this, the theory does not make sense when you realise that Mikasa, Magath and the Marleyan soldiers would not be affected by any memory alterations because they are not Eldians.
So, this pretty much debunks that theory.
Another theory I do not think holds much weight is the one that the Eren who got decapitated was actually a clone created using Eren’s War Hammer Titan ability.
The reason I do not think this theory is legitimate is because there has never been any indication that the War Hammer Titan can create clones of its user.
Not only this, but the idea that any such clone could be so real down to the clothes Eren wears is a little too ridiculous.
What I do not find ridiculous is the theory that Eren will survive by transferring his consciousness throughout his body, like Reiner did in the Return to Shiganshina Arc.
Eren saw Gabi before she shot him so he would have had time to do this.
The second theory that I think is highly likely is that the mysterious girl in the Path dimension, who is probably Ymir Fritz, will revive Eren.
I am more in favor of this theory because it would allow Eren to have a conversation with Ymir and we could not only learn his motives but also the origins of the Titans from Ymir and see what role she has to play in the current story.
Honestly, I think it will be a combination of these two theories.
I see Eren transferring his consciousness and, while regenerating, ends up in the Path dimension where he will meet Ymir.
If this happens then it will probably be the cliffhanger of Chapter 120.
But If I am wrong and Eren is actually dead I will most likely hate it.
I have faith in Isayama, though.

Now that Falco is the Jaw Titan what will he do?

One of the great subversive moments of Chapter 119 was when Falco ate Porco instead of Reiner.
Isayama brilliantly misled us to believe that Falco would inherit the Armoured Titan, only for him to inherit the Jaw Titan.
It was a brilliant way to subvert expectations and it will be interesting to see what happens with Falco in the future.
I think we can expect to see his new Titan form at least once but what he does with this power depends on how much time the story has left.
Because of Eren’s current state, I believe there could be a possibility for a bit of a break in the fighting.
This could allow Falco to flee the battlefield with Reiner and Gabi and locate Annie, and he would use his bite to free her from the crystal.
However, if there is no break in the fighting then I do not see him doing this.
There is also the possibility of Falco encountering Historia.
While I do like how Porco died, I think it was a missed opportunity to not have him meet Historia and share Ymir’s memories with her.
Porco could have grown from this as a character so it was disappointing to see this did not happen.
On the other hand, Falco could now fill this role, meeting Historia and giving her closure about Ymir, possibly leading to Historia naming her baby after her.
Again, this does depend on how much of the story is left.
I do hope that Isayama did not just give Falco the Jaw Titan as a way to save him with no plans for him to use the power.
I want to see Falco actually contribute with the Jaw Titan power.

Death predictions.

A lot of characters bit the dust in Chapter 119.
Porco and Colt died, and Pyxis, Nile, Rouge, and all the other people who ingested Zeke’s spinal fluid were turned into Titans.
Then there is Eren, who got decapitated.
If Eren is really dead then Chapter 120 will definitely serve as confirmation of that, although I would be heavily against this.
But, like I said, I think Eren will survive or be resurrected because of Titan magic or Ymir Fritz.
Personally, I am more concerned for Magath and Pieck.
Magath was on Pieck’s Anti-Titan Gun when Armin shot it with the thunder spear.
We saw him get blown back by this but got no conformation on if he was killed or not.
Personally, I would be disappointed if he died because I feel like Isayama has been setting him up for something big, with all of his references to Helos.
I am also scared for Pieck, since she is going up against Mikasa and Armin at the end of Chapter 119.
Pieck is the weakest of the Titan Shifters, while Mikasa is humanity’s second strongest soldier and Armin is the Colossal Titan.
On top of this, Pieck looks scared out of her mind when fighting them.
The odds are clearly not in her favor in this fight.
I hope she does not die because I really like her character.
As for the other characters, I am not sure if any others will be dying this chapter because of the mass of them that died last chapter.
I do have a few ideas about how characters could die in the future, like Yelena potentially being eaten by a Titan Pyxis.
However, I do not think we will be getting any more major deaths next chapter, apart from possibly Pieck or Magath.
Who knows though?
Isayama is definitely a writer who likes to shock us so anything could happen.

Will Levi, Hange, Historia or Annie return?

One of my big concerns about Attack on Titan‘s final arc is that many characters could be absent from its final battle.
Levi, Hange, Historia and Annie are all elsewhere while this big fight is taking place.
If Isayama leaves them out, I will be disappointed because I believe that every important character should play a role in the ending, with the exception of those who are already dead.
So, how could these characters possibly return?
Well, I believe that Levi, Hange and Historia could return all at once.
There has been a theory that the river Hange jumped into with Levi would take them to Historia’s location.
With so little time left in the manga, I am in favor of this happening because then we could both see Levi get patched up and learn if there is any twist to Historia’s pregnancy.
As for Annie, as I have stated, Falco could free her but I have heard another theory about how she could return that I find much more interesting.
This theory states that because Annie has been in crystal so long, her consciousness has been transported to the Path dimension where she has been hanging out with Ymir.
So, if Eren meets Ymir next chapter he should also meet Annie.
However, I need to make it clear that this theory has absolutely no evidence behind it.
I just think it would be a highly interesting way for Annie to return to the story, without everything that has happened needing to be explained to her because Ymir would have already done so.
Whatever happens, I hope Isayama can find a way to make all four of these characters important to the story’s ending.

Did Tom Xaver know Eren Kruger?

Another theory that has been floating around is that Tom Xaver was working with Eren Kruger.
After reading Zeke’s flashback in Chapter 114 though, I dismissed this theory because Xaver seemed to believe, like Zeke, that the Eldian race should be euthanized.
This is completely different from Kruger, who wanted to free Eldia.
However, after reading Chapter 88 again, I have begun to buy into this theory because of what Kruger tells Grisha.
He says he was able to avoid detection because of a Dr who was posing as a Marleyan and had “the knowhow to study Titan biology.”
This description matches Xaver to a T.
Because of this, I now believe Xaver at the very least knew Kruger and at the most was working with him to achieve some kind of goal.
Granted, in the scenes we see them in, their ideologies are completely different.
Given this, it does not make sense for Xaver to encourage Zeke’s euthanasia plan if he bought into Kruger’s mindset.
There is always the possibility that Isayama planned to reveal the two were working together but then decided against it though.
We will just have to wait and see if this theory has any substance.

When will Attack on Titan end?

Attack on Titan is in its final arc and what looks like the final battle.
So, the question is when will the manga end?
I have heard Isayama has estimated a year so that makes me think it will end somewhere around Chapter 130.
This number would match in terms of volume numbers as well, so this is further evidence.
Some people have been saying the story will end in a few chapters but I highly doubt that.
If it does then Attack on Titan will probably have one of the most rushed endings ever.
There is still so much left to unpack in this story.
How did the Titans come to be, who really was Ymir Fritz, what is the deal with the Ackerman family, what is Eren’s true plan, what is Kyomi going to do, and what will happen with the rumbling?
These are just a few of the many unanswered questions that cannot be answered in two chapters.
In my opinion, there needs to be at least ten or eleven more to wrap up everything clearly.
Although, this is Isayama and I am sure he could surprise us by ending the story quickly, while somehow making it satisfying as well.
As for how Attack on Titan will end, I am not so sure.
One thing I am certain about is that the ending will involve the Rumbling and the explanation of Titan memories in some way.
The Rumbling is basically the Chekov’s Gun of Attack on Titan.
It needs to be fired before the series ends but how it will be used remains to be seen.
Will Eren use it to destroy the world or find another way?
Then there is the whole Kruger plot twist of him remembering Mikasa and Armin when they have not been born yet.
The reason for this probably relates to the title of the first chapter, “To you in 2000 Years.”
Whatever happens, I just hope Isayama can end this story in a satisfying way that will ensure Attack on Titan is considered a modern classic by many.

Attack on Titan Chapter 117 Predictions.

What is Marley’s plan of attack?

At the end of Chapter 116, Marley’s military arrived to bring the fight to Eren.
However, they must have some trick up their sleeve if they hope to defeat him.
Marley has three Titan Shifters and a large amount of soldiers ready to fight but this still may not be enough.
This is why I think it is a possibility we could  see a repeat of Chapter 92, where Marley will turn a bunch of Eldians into Titans, which could motivate Zeke to transform those who ingested his spinal fluid when he arrives.
Although, if Marley does use regular Titans then there will be nothing to stop them from attacking their own soldiers and Titan Shifters so this might not happen.
I have also seen some speculation that Marley may have perfected ODM Gear from the one Zeke stole from Miche in the Clash of the Titans Arc.
If the Marleyan soldiers can now use ODM Gear then this would give them a much better chance of winning.
Still, I believe their main form of attack will be the Warriors, who may actually be able to defeat Eren, despite his War Hammer Titan abilities.
This will probably be because of Reiner, who is more motivated than ever to beat Eren.
Besides, Reiner has lost to Eren in all of their fights so it is about time he won.

Will Eren use his War Hammer Titan?

Eren ate the War Hammer Titan all the way back in chapter 104, and in Chapter 110 we saw he could use its abilities when he broke out of prison.
So, despite Eren’s Titan form not looking any different when he transformed at the end of “All Creation,” he still clearly has those powers.
This makes it almost certain that he will use them in his battle with the Warriors and the Marleyan Military.
The question is how?
Some have theorized that Eren will use the War Hammer Titan power to create two blades like those in the ODM Gear, which he has used before so that makes sense.
We have also seen that the War Hammer Titan is capable of creating long range weapons like crossbows so I can definitely see Eren shooting the airships out of the sky.
However, we do not know how skilled Eren will be with these powers, considering he only got them recently.
While it certainly will come in handy, I do not think we can expect to see Eren on the same level as the previous War Hammer Titan quite yet.
If he somehow is though, then this will undoubtedly make the battle terribly one sided in Eren’s favor.
Whatever the case, I think we can expect to see the full extent of Eren’s capabilities with the War Hammer Titan power very soon.

When will Zeke arrive and what will he do?

Eren will be going up against three Titan Shifters in the next chapter so he will need all the help he can get.
Thankfully, his half-brother, Zeke, is currently on the way with Floch and the other Yeagerists.
I think this will most likely be the cliffhanger of Chapter 117 or 118, with Eren about to be overwhelmed and defeated only for Zeke to jump in and help at the last minute.
This would be a nice payoff to the scene where Zeke promised Eren he would save him and it would also be interesting to see how Zeke interacts with his former allies turned enemies.
I am the most curious about how he will interact with Pieck, considering he was the closest to her when he was on Marley’s side.
If Pieck is going to die, then this could lead to a sad scene where Zeke actually eats her to stop her from interfering.
This is just speculation though.
What I do think will happen is that Zeke will also play a role in destroying the airships with Eren, because his main attack is a pitching throw with rocks.
If this is the final battle, I also think we can expected to see Eren and Zeke finally initiate their plan once this battle is over.
However, since I think Eren is manipulating Zeke, this plan may not be what Zeke intends and he will probably be betrayed.

How will the scouts escape and what will they do?

Since this is most likely the final battle, then the scouts will definitely play a part in it.
In order to do that though, they have to escape from their prison cell.
This may or may not happen in Chapter 117 but it will almost certainly happen during this battle.
Coming back to my earlier theory, I believe Onyankopon will be the one to free them because there has been a lot of hints that he does not fully trust Yelena.
In the chaos of the battle he will probably run to free the Scouts.
As for Niccolo, he will most likely help Sasha’s family escape from the battlefield, while the scouts fight.
About what they will do during this fight, even though they are questioning Eren’s methods, they will still have no choice but to side with him during this battle.
In fact, Armin’s Colossal Titan could be enough to tip the scales in Eren’s favor, along with Zeke.
No matter what happens though, I think this could sadly be the last time we see a few of these characters, which leads me to my next point.

Death Predictions.

Some characters are going to die in this battle.
Whether these characters are major or minor, it is inevitable.
It just remains to be seen who these characters will be.
Starting with the scouts, the most likely candidates here are Connie and Jean, who are not as important to the story as Armin and Mikasa but whose deaths would still get an emotional gut punch, especially Jean.
However, I think that Connie may be the most likely to die here, even more so if Zeke gets involved.
Isayama has set up a possible fight between the two since Zeke turned Connie’s entire family into Titans and Connie said he was looking for an opportunity to fight him in the Uprising Arc.
Since Zeke is an important character though, if he and Connie do fight then I see Connie losing and probably dying.
Eren, Mikasa and Armin are also too important, like Zeke, so will not be dying any time soon.
Then there are Yelena, Onyankopon and Floch, who are all minor characters and could possibly die at any point.
Moving onto the Warriors, I think Reiner and Porco are safe for now.
Porco still needs to meet Historia and have his antagonism with Reiner resolved, and Reiner will most likely die when Zeke turns Falco into a Titan and Reiner sacrifices himself to save him, which I do not think will happen next chapter.
Pieck, on the other hand, could die.
She is handcuffed to Gabi and will not transform until she is uncuffed because it would kill her.
If she does get free though, she is still at risk because her Titan is the weakest and, unlike Porco and Reiner, I do not see anyway she can grow, even though I do really like her character.
As for Gabi, she is in the middle of a character arc so she is not dying.
Falco is another story, however, because he, and the others who have consumed Zeke’s spinal fluid, will most likely be turned into Titans soon.
Unless Reiner does sacrifice himself to save him, then I think Falco will most likely die soon.
His brother, Colt, is also fair game because his character does not seem to have a point.
Finally, there is Magath who I think is safe for the time being because he clearly has a role to play, although I do not know what that role is.

My Concerns.

Now we come to the portion of the predictions where I lay out my concerns for the endgame of the series.
If you read my review for Chapter 116, you know that I am currently against this being the final battle.
The reason for this is that there are at least four major characters with unresolved storylines far away from this battle.
Those characters being Levi, Hange, Historia and Annie.
In my opinion, the only excuse an important character has for not being present during the final battle is if they are dead and none of these characters are.
It has also been a very long time since we have seen Historia and Annie so Isayama needs to bring them back into the story soon.
So, this fight possibly being the last one does have me concerned.
I would say that there is a chance this may not be the final showdown but, in all honesty, it has all the hallmarks of being that.
The characters are back in Shiganshina, where it all began, almost all of the Titan Shifters are present in this fight, and Zeke is on his way to meet Eren, which is currently the driving force of this final arc.
As a result, I find it unlikely that this is not going to turn out to be the last battle of the series, which is worrying because many of these characters’ storylines are unresolved at this point.
I am especially concerned that the missing characters will not reappear until the epilogue, which would be bad writing for a lot of them, especially Annie.
Her return has been hyped up for a long time so, if she only reappears during the epilogue of the story, it will feel like her character was completely wasted and that Isayama had absolutely no idea what to do with her.
If it is the final battle of Attack on Titan, then Isayama needs to find a way to include the four important characters who are missing.

And that is the end of my predictions for Chapter 117, which I will review when it is released. On another note, be sure to check out my reviews for the episodes of Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2, which returns on April 28. This part of the anime with be adapting The Return to Shiganshina Arc, which is my favourite arc in the manga so far. I cannot wait to see how it is adapted and sharing my opinions with you.

Attack on Titan Chapter 116 Predictions.

Chapter 115 of Attack on Titan, “Support,”was an amazing read, with many explosive reveals that will have a lasting impact on the series.
From Levi’s uncertain fate, to Zeke’s resurrection, to Pieck ambushing Eren, the chapter had many moments that left my jaw on the floor, and wondering how these storylines would continue in Chapter 116, and beyond.
So, I decided to list my theories and predictions for the upcoming chapter, and others, to see if I get any right.
Let’s get into it.

What does Yelena plan to do and how does Onyankopon factor in?

It was clear right from the moment Yelena entered the story that she was untrustworthy and Hajime Isayama has definitely followed through on making her so.
She is essentially a crazy Zeke fan girl, who believes he is a god and will follow his every command.
This has me wondering what she and the other Yeagerists have planned for the military members who drunk the wine with Zeke’s spinal fluid, including Pyxis.
The chapter ends Yelena’s scene with her declaring that Pyxis and the others must be punished for going against Zeke.
I think this punishment will be turning him, and everyone else identified by an armband as having drunk the wine, into Titans with Zeke’s scream.
These Titans will then be used in the final battle when the world commences an all out assault on Paradis.
Sadly, this means Pyxis, Nile, and every other person in the military who drank the wine will die.
However, I do not think they will go down without a fight.
Pyxis has been getting a lot of scenes with Yelena and this has me believing he will play a central role in her downfall.
Then there is Onyankopon, whose loyalties remain uncertain.
He was helping Hange in prior chapters but in “Support” he was seen working with Yelena again.
However, I believe that Isayama laid a few subtle hints in this scene that he may actually betray her.
There is a panel of him glaring at her out of the corner of his eye and, when Pyxis asks her why Yelena is thinking of saving the world rather than the island, Onyankopon questions her, showing he has not been told the full plan.
Because of all this, I think Onyankopon will begin working against her, potentially helping Pyxis and maybe even releasing Mikasa, Armin and the rest of the scouts from their prison cell.
As for what happens next, only time will tell.

What will happen to Levi and Hange?

When Chapter 115 was released and everyone thought Levi died, a thousand fans screamed out in anguish.
But, upon closer inspection, it looks like Levi actually survived the explosion.
Otherwise, Hange would not have glared at Floch when he asked to check Levi’s pulse, and she would not have taken his body when she jumped into the river.
Finally, there is Levi’s new scar.
Isayama would not go to the trouble of giving him a battle scar if he was not still alive.
So, if Levi is alive, the question is what happens to him and Hange now?
Many people have speculated about where the river will take the two and most believe they are either going to Shiganshina or Historia’s home.
It honestly could be either, or neither, at this point.
This is the one question that I do not have the slightest idea what the answer is.
Arriving in Shiganshina may seem a bit too convenient, and the reason I do not think they will end up at Historia’s ties into my next prediction.
In all honesty, I think it could be a few chapters before we figure out what happened to them.
All I can say for certain is that if Levi is going to die then Hajime Isayama will be sure to give him a meaningful, and impactful, sendoff.
The crazy fan girls would attack him if he did not.

Where are Reiner and Porco?

The reason I do not believe Levi and Hange will meet up with Historia is because I believe two other characters are going to: Reiner and Porco.
We have not seen these two since Chapter 108, and this has created much confusion when Pieck was shown on Paradis without these two with her.
Since Reiner suggested an all out assault on Paradis in 108, it would be weird if Pieck was the only one sent to the island.
So Reiner and Porco must be on an important mission there that we have not been shown yet.
And, in my opinion, this important mission is to capture Historia.
This would make sense both for practical and story reasons.
Marley’s goal is to gain the Founding Titan power but, in order to do this, they need someone with royal blood.
This would make Historia and her unborn child vitally important to Marley.
As for the story reasons, Isayama could do a lot for the narrative and character arcs by having Reiner and Porco meet Historia.
Reiner had a crush on Historia when he was pretending to be a soldier, and made a promise to Ymir that he would save her.
These factors would put Reiner at odds with his mission, and could lead to more growth from him.
Personally, though, I am much more interested in Historia meeting Porco.
Porco ate Ymir, who was Historia’s girlfriend, and now has all of her memories, which means he knows a lot about Historia.
Not only that but we have seen how memories affect Titan Shifters, like when Armin inherited Bertholdt’s memories.
So, both he and Historia could grow so much from meeting and interacting with one another.
Along with this, their meeting could hopefully lead to some more revelations about Ymir with maybe a flashback with Porco’s memories from her?
Hopefully?
In any case, I truly believe that not having Historia and Porco meet would be a massive missed opportunity.
Another thing to note is that this could finally let us know what is going on with Historia’s pregnancy.
If you have read any of my prior reviews, then you know I hate this storyline so am hoping for some kind of twist to make it better.
Maybe her meeting up with Reiner and Porco could provide this?

What is Pieck’s Plan?

After talking about Reiner and Porco, we now move on to their comrade, Pieck.
We spent five chapters wondering what she was up to after she appeared in Chapter 110, and “Support” gave us our answer.
In the cliffhanger of Chapter 115, Pieck ambushes Eren when he comes to talk to Gabi, stabbing his guard in the throat and then holding him at gunpoint.
On the surface, this seems like a stupid decision on Pieck’s part.
Her Titan is by far the weakest of the nine and Eren has three Titan powers, among them the two most powerful, the Founding and Warhammer Titan.
This puts Pieck at a huge disadvantage and, again, makes her look stupid.
But here’s the thing; Pieck is not stupid.
Isayama has shown her to be one of the smartest characters in Attack on Titan time and time again.
She managed to free herself and Porco from the hole Yelena trapped them in and, most recently, managed to sneak into Eren’s inner circle and ambush him.
Not to mention that Zeke constantly praising Pieck for her intelligence, with him proclaiming “that’s exactly right, Pieck”, has become a meme.
So, Pieck must have some sort of plan but what is it?
Coming back to my theory about Reiner and Porco going to capture Historia and her baby, this might tie into that plan.
One of Eren’s biggest motivations for turning against the military was because they planned to sacrifice Historia so he would want to protect her at all cost.
And, if the fanbase is right and Eren is the true father of Historia’s child, this would increase his desire to save her tenfold.
Therefore, maybe this is the ace up Pieck’s sleeve.
She could threaten Historia’s life if Eren does not cooperate.
Or, maybe Eren could convince Pieck to come over to his side, who knows?
Either way, if Eren kills Pieck next chapter I will be dissapointed, both because it would make Pieck look like an idiot, and because we know the least about her out of all of the warriors.
I really like Pieck as a character and what to know more about her, so maybe Chapter 116 will give us some insight into her backstory and what her true motivations are.

Who is the little girl who resurrected Zeke and what part will she play in the story?

Ymir Fritz… Seriously, who else could it be?
If the little girl who saved Zeke is anyone other than Ymir Fritz I will be shocked.
And, since Ymir Fritz has probably been introduced, then that truly shows that we are in the endgame of this story.
What I find to be the most interesting question right now is how the original Ymir will tie into this endgame?
She saved Zeke so he is obviously important to whatever her plans are.
This may make it seem like she is trying to make his euthanasia plan succeed but I think her goal is quite the opposite.
I believe she may actually be trying to make Eren’s plan come true because I am almost certain he is manipulating Zeke.
Whatever Eren’s true plan is, he needs Zeke to initiate it and Ymir Fritz saving Zeke shows she is in favor of that plan working.
Maybe she is even already in communication with Eren, since he has three of the nine Titan Shifter powers.
Whether she is or not though, I am almost certain she will play a pivotal role in the story’s conclusion.
I also have a number of theories about how she may be connected to this ending, and I believe it all comes down to Historia’s child.
If you look at Ymir Fritz, she looks almost exactly like Historia when she was a child, living on her mother’s farm.
Not only that, but she has a similar pose, holding a bucket just like Historia.
As for the baby, it would make a lot of sense for Historia to name her baby Ymir because of how much she had an influence on her life.
This would technically make this child’s name Ymir Fritz since this was Historia’s family’s original name before they changed it to Reiss.
My theory is that Historia’s child IS Ymir Fritz and that she is working through paths to ensure Eren’s plan works in the past.
Maybe the series will end with Eren sending his memories of her into the past, generating the legend about Ymir gaining her powers from the devil, which may be Eren.
Although if this theory is correct, then it does raise the plot hole of what created the Titans in the first place so I am probably wrong about this.
Still, I do not think I am wrong about Ymir Fritz playing a major role in the story’s conclusion as that is pretty much a given at this point.

So those are my predictions for Chapter 116 of Attack on Titan and beyond.
I hope you enjoyed them.
Be sure to check out my review for the chapter when it officially drops in April.
